Charter
Private Porsche* Club — Montréal
*(mostly)
Midnight MTL is a private, selective Porsche club — not an open-membership organization, and not one that accepts applications in the conventional sense. Participation is by founder approval only.
The club exists to cultivate a discreet, credible local Porsche circle built on quality of conduct, quality of machines, and quality of participation — not on size, visibility, or growth.
Membership rule
Membership is limited to Porsche owners approved by the founder. To be considered, a candidate must own a roadworthy, insured, road-legal Porsche; complete at least one qualifying midnight run with the founder or a designated representative; and show the driving judgment, conduct, and discretion the club expects — before, during, and after the run.
Completing a run doesn’t guarantee admission; acceptance stays fully at the founder’s discretion. Membership privileges — including the member sticker and mailing list access — begin only after formal acceptance, and continue only while the member remains in good standing.
Qualifying midnight run
An informal but founder-recognized night drive, done directly with the founder or a designated representative, under the same discipline, discretion, and lawful conduct that define the club. The founder alone decides whether a run counts toward membership.
Membership classes
Member — an accepted Porsche owner in good standing. This class carries full club privileges: access to the private mailing list, member communications, eligibility for the member sticker, and select event information.
Prospect — a known contact who has not yet completed, or been accepted following, a qualifying run. Prospects hold no privileges: no sticker, no mailing list access, and no other member benefits until formal acceptance.
What disqualifies a candidate
A candidate or member falls out of consideration for reckless or attention-seeking driving or online behavior, for treating friendship or a referral as an automatic path to membership, or for using the club name, sticker, or imagery before formal acceptance.
Mailing list
A private channel for accepted members only — there’s no public sign-up. It’s used to keep members informed of upcoming run dates and times, along with other member communications. Members are added manually after acceptance, and access ends if membership ends or on request.
Conduct & privacy
Members avoid reckless or intoxicated driving, harassment, intimidation, or any behavior suggesting the club endorses illegal activity. The same discretion extends to other members — respect privacy around identity, vehicles, and location, and get consent before posting anything that could expose someone unnecessarily.
Brand & sticker use
The club name, wordmark, and member sticker are for approved use only. No reproducing, selling, or modifying the club identity without the founder’s permission.
Standing
Membership can be suspended or revoked at the founder’s discretion for conduct inconsistent with these standards. Members may resign at any time. The founder may revise this charter as the club evolves.
